Today we talk about Martyn Van Wyck, best known as Effigy, who was abducted by aliens, given fire powers, and mostly just uses them to fight Green Lanterns.

What we were up to this week:

• Briar continues working on cosplay, went bowling, and read (part of) Sirens: Love Hurts (2026) #1
• Olivia read Moonstar (2026) #1, is looking forward to reading X-Men United (2026), and has been watching Guy Ritchie's Young Sherlock
